Sensorless Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) ECU

Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) technology eliminates conventional starter-motor based engine start systems. ISG results in instant and smooth engine start, improved reliability, and also enables reliable idle stop-start for vehicles used in stop-go traffic.

We offer the world’s first Sensorless ISG system for small engines with crankshaft mounted alternators. Based on our novel Sensorless Motor Control Technology , our ISG ensures improved reliability and enables smaller/simpler electric machines by eliminating hall sensors used in conventional ISG systems. Being sensorless also makes the offering suited for both motorcycles (including those with wet magnetos) and scooters

Our sensorless ISG system offering consists of an ECU, either as a standalone or integrated with electronics for EFI, as well as a specification of the electric machine/magneto. We also intend, shortly, to offer the electric machines as well.

Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) ECU

We offer ECUs for Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) either as a standalone or in conjunction with our sensorless ISG offering. These ECUs incorporate state-of-the-art control software routines for various emission, fuel consumption & performance demands are designed to support operation with a wide range of injectors, pumps, and sensors. 

For large-volume customers, we offer the flexibility for our customers to specify application layer EFI control strategies while we take responsibility for the electronic hardware and BSP. This offering provides the opportunity to allow customers to have greater control of their IP. 

Connectivity

SEDEMAC’s OT150/100 is an automotive IoT platform. This helps you build applications on your bike viz – remote & secure vehicle immobilizer, alerts on a friend/relative’s phone if the bike crashes or rolls over & makes it possible to continuously update the vehicle’s firmware with Over-the-Air (OTA) upgrades.

The platform comprises of an internet gateway device which can communicate over various ECUs via CAN and our “Device Management System” – SDMS.  The gateway devices come equipped with GNSS, cellular internet, and an sensors. OT interacts with on-board ECUs, SEDEMAC Device Management Service (SDMS), and data server via Cellular GPRS (2G/3G/LTE/NB-IoT) communication. The SDMS ensures that diverse user equipment are configured/updated/monitored to a consistent standard set of applications, functions or corporate policies.

Motor Controllers

We offer Weber — a product-series of Field Oriented Control (FOC) enabled BLDC motor controllers incorporating our unique sensorless motor control technology. These controllers operate two control loops; the inner control loop controlling machine currents for optimal torque generation for the entire speed range, starting from zero speed, and the outer control loop controlling torque reference and field weakening logic. Weber also has a regenerative braking logic for the energy-efficient operation of the vehicle. 

Battery Management Systems

Our battery management system product-series, Ursa, is intended for 48V lithium-ion batteries. Ursa supports up to 14 cells in series and incorporates unique State of Charge (SOC) estimation algorithms. Cell voltages, battery pack temperature, battery pack current are monitored to enable passive balancing, battery protection & battery state estimation.
