SEDEMAC's EG1298 controller: A modern engine controller for governing application with user-friendly HMI and full graphics LCD.

The EG1298 controller provides an isochronous governing feature along with the option to switch over to load based droop governing and paralleling support.

The EG1298 controller also offers load monitoring. RS485 port is provided for supporting remote communication. Features such as real time clock (RTC), extensive event logging (100 counts) and magnetic pick-up sensing (for RPM) are also provided to support special customer requirements.

Actuator: Designed and customized for precision motion control applications for engines with mechanical fuel systems. The actuator sits on the engine and controls the stop/throttle lever of the FIP to control the engine speed.

SEDEMAC's SmartConfig is a PC based parameter configuration utility that gets installed and runs in the Microsoft Windows® environment. The utility enables an easy to use, feature rich configuration access to SEDEMAC's genset controller products.

The SmartConfig supports the creation and storage of parameter configuration profiles tailor made for various application requirements. It also allows for flashing the configuration on controllers through a USB cord and reading an existing configuration profile and event logs from an already flashed controller.



SEDEMAC's B12 Electronic Control Unit is designed and customized for precision motion control on wide variety of diesel / gas / gasoline engines with mechanical fuel systems.It provides Isochronous Governing, EGR valve control (on / off type) based on RPM, and Isochronous governing with EGR valve control.

SEDEMAC B12 Series Rotary Actuator is designed and customized for precision motion control application on wide variety of diesel / gas / gasoline engines with mechanical fuel systems. Its robust architecture supported by a heavy duty plastic enclosure offers high rigidity and strength to sustain against harsh environmental conditions and mechanical vibrations for engine mounted applications. Powered by SEDEMAC's B12 Series governor ECUs or with GCUs for the genset market, the actuator helps deliver tight speed governing performance within ISO 8528:G3 class limits.

Variable Speed Electronic Governor for Telecom Gensets (EG1299)

SEDEMAC's variable speed solution comprises of an Engine controller EG1299 and an actuator. SEDEMAC's EG1299 controller is a modern engine controller for telecom genset applications with user-friendly HMI and full graphics LCD. The EG1299 controller provides variable speed governing feature along with the option to switch over 0% droop governing with paralleling support.

The EG1299 controller also offers over-speed and under-speed protection, and load metering. RS485 port is provided for supporting remote communication. Features such as real time clock (RTC), extensive event logging and magnetic pick-up sensing (for RPM) are also provided to support special customer requirements.

The actuator is designed and customized for precision motion control applications for engines with mechanical fuel systems. The actuator sits on the engine and controls the stop/throttle lever of the fuel injection pump (FIP) to control the engine speed.

TECHNOLOGY

EG 1299 enables variable speed action of genset engines. Variable speed genset action involves changing the speed of the engine (and therefore the frequency at which power is generated) depending on the load. This makes sense in telecom towers for two reasons.

  • Most gensets used in this application operate for significant periods of time under part-load operation. Variable speed capability allows lower speed, higher torque operations under part-load conditions leading to fuel saving. See figure

  • Microwave electronics of telecom towers are DC powered. Typically, an SMPS is used to convert AC power (from the grid or DG) into DC primarily to charge battery banks. The SMPS is (largely) agnostic to input frequency negating the need to produce DG power which is synchronous with the frequency of the grid
